Visit of the Deputy Ambassador of Austria and the Attaché of the Austrian Embassy to Irpin on the occasion of the completion of the renovation

On May 26, a meeting was held in Irpin between the Deputy Mayor of the city, Ms. Yulia Ustych, with the Deputy Ambassador of Austria, Ms. Sonja Schragen, as well as the Attaché of the Austrian Embassy, Ms. Lara Stock. The meeting took place at the kindergarten “Znayko” (Irpin). The event was held on the occasion of the completion of the major repair of children's gazebos, carried out by the NGO “Narodna Dopomoga Ukraine” in partnership with the Austrian NGO “Volkshilfe Oberösterreich” with the financial support of “Nachbar in Not” and ”AWO International”. Also, issues of further cooperation between the Embassy of Austria, the Irpin City Council and the NGO “Narodna Dopomoga Ukraine” were discussed.

From August 2022 to May 2023, the NGO "People's Aid Ukraine" provided assistance in the early restoration of housing to 940 families and citizens living in the city of Irpin. The roofs of multi-storey buildings were restored at the addresses of Severynivska 105, Severynivska 105, Mykhailivska 20, Soborna 1/6, and Mineralna 39. The repair of gazebos in the kindergarten "Znayko" at the address of Kurortna 9, to which a 7 kW backup power generator was transferred in December last year.
