A joint project of the NGO "People's Aid Ukraine" and the Dnipro Drama Youth Theater "We Believe!"

The public organization "People's Aid Ukraine" and the Dnipro Drama Youth Theater "We Believe!" announce the start of the implementation of the grant project "White Plague: Fantastic Realism of the Times of One War."

The project will present the premiere of the play "The White Plague" based on the play by Czech playwright Karel Čapek. The project involves showing the play in three cities of Ukraine - Dnipro, Chernivtsi and Kyiv, and therefore, in the near future we expect to meet with audiences from different regions of the country.

After the performances, there will be discussion forums with the participation of the creators of the performance, where we will talk about important and relevant things - about how Ukrainian society will change in the process of post-war reconstruction from the perspective of humanistic and ethical considerations. After all, it is contemporary art that should voice and actualize these narratives.

Last week, a presentation of the project took place, at which the audience watched a live excerpt from the play performed by the actors of the "Virimo" theater, saw the teaser of the premiere, and participated in a conversation with the creative team.

The project "White Plague: Fantastic Realism of the Times of a War" is implemented by the NGO "Narodna Dopomochka Ukraine" in partnership with the Dnipro Drama Youth Theater "We Believe!", and is co-financed by the ZMINA: Rebuilding program, created with the support of the European Union within the framework of a special call for applications to support Ukrainian displaced persons and the Ukrainian cultural and creative sectors, with the support of the ICF "IZOLYATSIA", Trans Europe Halles and Malý Berlín.
