Austrian delegation in Buch and Irpen

On September 26, an Austrian delegation led by the President of the Austrian National Council, Wolfgang Sobotka, visited Irpin and Bucha, Kyiv region.

The purpose of the visit is to meet with residents who have suffered from Russian aggression, as well as with representatives of local authorities and volunteers who are helping to rebuild the Kyiv region.

Our representatives were also present at the meeting in Irpen, because the NGO “Narodna Dopomochka” has been engaged in the restoration of destroyed buildings almost from the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, with the support of Volkshilfe Austria.

At the meeting with Mr. Sobotka, Irpin City Mayor Mr. Markushyn expressed deep gratitude for the useful and necessary work of the Austrian partners "Volkshilfe Österreich" and "Nachbar im Not", who have been very actively working in the region since the summer of 2022.
