Russian "peacekeepers" left behind many ruins and graves in Irpin. Critical and residential
The city's infrastructure was damaged by more than 70%.
All 23 educational institutions, 16 medical institutions, 4 cultural institutions suffered significant damage. The city stadium was completely destroyed and the children's youth sports school was partially destroyed. 39 multi-storey buildings were completely destroyed, 515 multi-storey buildings were damaged by fragments from artillery shells and air strikes. At least 2,600 private houses were damaged.
Scary numbers that we reduced as best we could, becoming part of a large restoration project.
Today, on the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of the city of Irpin from Russian occupation, a ceremony of recognition and gratitude for assistance in the reconstruction of the city "Every brick matters" was held, in which representatives of the NGO "People's Aid Ukraine" participated.
At the event, the mayor of Irpin, Mr. Markushyn, expressed sincere words of gratitude to the NGO "People's Aid Ukraine" for its assistance in the revival of the city's infrastructure and presented a commemorative sign - a brick of a destroyed building burned by the war.
Yes, every brick is important. As is every step, even the smallest, on the path to recovery and victory.
