Tour of the "Virymo" Theater in Vienna with the performance "ORGIA" based on the play by Lesya Ukrainka

In November of this year, an important cultural event took place in Vienna (Austria) - the performance of the Dnipro Drama Youth Theater "We Believe!" "ORGIA" based on the last play of the brilliant Lesya Ukrainka during her lifetime.

The play "ORGIA", created in 2021 by the "Virimo!" Theater with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, is a unique cultural product that combines the value of Lesya Ukrainka's aristocratic literary heritage, the acute themes of the absorption of cultures by empires and the preservation of national dignity in a situation of imperial conquest, and an exquisite theatrical solution to the drama in the language of modern theater.

Now, when Ukraine is at war, the struggle continues on the cultural front. The performance of “ORGIA” in Vienna, one of the cultural centers of Europe, contributed to the formation of a high image of Ukrainian culture and a better understanding of Ukrainian national values and fundamental problems and challenges.

Two performances of the "We Believe!" theater were sold out and caused sincere and sharp emotions in Ukrainian and Austrian audiences. In the process of discussing what they saw with the creative team of the project, the authors and performers of the play heard a lot of important, relevant and necessary things from the audience, who perceived the play with their minds and hearts.
